## How to sign in

The organisation owner gives you access. They create an account and give you
your username and password. You do not register yourself.

1. Open ATQAR at the address you were given.
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Select ‘Sign in’.

The password you receive is ready to use: you do not have to change it when you
first sign in. You can change it later in ‘Profile’ if you wish. Use a password
that you do not use for any other system.

If the password does not work, check your keyboard layout and make sure Caps Lock
is not on. If you see ‘Too many attempts’, wait a couple of minutes and try again.

## Passwordless Login

You can set up sign-in with your fingerprint or face — the same way you unlock
your phone. Your password will remain available as a backup.

1. Open ‘Profile’ — your name in the top-right corner.
2. Select ‘Add Passwordless Login’.
3. Enter your current password and give the device a name — for example, ‘my phone’.
4. Confirm with your fingerprint, face, or phone passcode.

You will find the settings under [‘Passwordless Login’](https://atqar.com/en/profile/#passkeys).

You need to set it up separately on each device. Your phone and work computer
count as two different devices.

## Your role

Your role determines what you can see and do. You can check your role under
[‘About me’](https://atqar.com/en/profile/#account). The owner assigns your role; you cannot
change it yourself.

| Role | What they can see | What they can do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Housekeeper | their own shifts, work assigned personally to them, and a safe forecast of checkout cleaning for today and tomorrow | completes assigned work; submits cleaning and blocking results for review |
| Technician | repairs, inspections, replenishments, and other tasks assigned personally to them | completes assigned work; submits repairs and blocking results for review |
| Administrator | the organisation's work and the duty schedule | plans availability, assigns, accepts, and returns work |
| Owner | everything in their organisation | also manages employees, roles, properties, and rooms |

> Product demonstration: An example task in the work list.

That is why your [task list](https://atqar.com/en/tasks/) differs from your colleague’s. This is
not an error. An employee only completes work assigned personally to them.
Other people's tasks are not shown. A checkout
forecast is a planning warning, not a task: it cannot be started.

An employee's normal path is short: open work assigned personally to you,
optionally add a photo, and select **‘Done’**. There is no separate start and no mandatory
report. For work that requires review, a photo enables remote review;
the administrator inspects that review-required result onsite when there is no
usable file. Work that does not require review closes immediately after Done.

## Properties

A property is the hotel or house where you work. Every active employee belongs
to every property in their organisation. Overview pages immediately combine all
authorised rooms and tasks; role and work relationship still prevent access to
other people’s tasks, guests, or photos. A concrete property is selected only
inside a form that creates or changes a record.

## What you will find on screen

There are four items at the bottom of the phone screen, the same for every
role:

- **Now**: where to start your shift and what needs attention right now.
- **Tasks** — all work that relates to you.
- **Log** — the history of actions and changes.
- **More** — sections available to your role, documents, help, and sign-out.
Sections that not every role has — an administrator's ‘Calendar’, for
example — live behind this item.

On a computer, the sections available to your role are in the column on the
left. An administrator therefore also has ‘Rooms’,
[‘Duties’](https://atqar.com/en/roster/), ‘Calendar’, and ‘Guests’, while an owner also has
‘Properties’ and ‘Staff’.

## If something is wrong

If you cannot sign in, contact the owner. They can restore your access.
**Do not create a second account to replace the old one**: your previous
history will remain attached to the old account, and the new account will be
treated as a different employee.

If you are unsure what to do with a task, message the administrator on duty. Do
not close or cancel work simply to remove it from your screen.
